This time I am the Medical Officer & PSD Operative for the US Embassy in southern Iraq. I have a team of 10 SF Paramedics, 2 of which are RN’s. For obvious reasons, medical gear is hard to acquire. I have a decent little trauma center set up with 2 additional treatment facilities at different locations on base. One of which is my office.

I would not ask this of any of you but I am in need of help. I am putting out a call for medical gear that I need here but is impossible to get locally. Please let me know if you can get any of these items donated from hospitals, ER’s, military units etc . . .

Basra is a dangerous place so we can't exactly go out & beg gear from military assets.

I will gladly reimburse you for the shipping expense. Just do what you can, don’t take anything that would put you at risk.

I will take anything else lying around that you think we could use.

Needs list

** O2 regulator for oxygen tank.
