A call of medical gear

As some of you are aware, I am again on assignment overseas. This time I am the Medical Officer & PSD Operative for the US Embassy in southern Iraq. I have a team of 10 SF Paramedics, 2 of which are RN’s. For obvious reasons, medical gear is hard to acquire. I have a decent little trauma center set up with 2 additional treatment facilities at different locations on base. One of which is my office.

I would not ask this of any of you but I am in need of help. I am putting out a call for medical gear that I need here but is impossible to get locally. Please let me know if you can get any of these items donated from hospitals, ER’s, military units etc . . .

Basra is a dangerous place so we can't exactly go out & beg gear from military assets.

I will gladly reimburse you for the shipping expense. Just do what you can, don’t take anything that would put you at risk.

I will take anything else lying around that you think we could use.

** O2 regulator for oxygen tank. The standard type.
** I need some type of splitter for the delivery devices. I only have one big tank and may need to give O2 to two patients simultaneously.
** Guiac cards with developer.
** A couple of pressure infusers for IV’s
** Fiberglass casting material. A few regular rolls would be fine.
** Any training gear that you could spare. Intubation models, IV arms etc…
** I know this is ridiculous to ask but what the hell. If anyone has a lifepack or dynamap that they could do without, I could use it.
** 4” OCL
** portable suction of any type
** pneumovacs suction drainage devices X 2-3
** sterile specimen cups
** NG tubes x2 or 3
** any anti-viral stuff, PO or topical
** central line kits (regular triple lumen)

If you guys could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
